1938 – 2018
Estelle "Sue" Marie (Long) O'Shea age 79 of Bellevue, NE peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, May 11, 2018 at her residence in Bellevue.
She was born on May 30, 1938 to Joseph C. and Stella Marie (Carroll) Long in Philadelphia, PA. At age twelve, she moved with her family to New Jersey where she attended high school. Estelle worked as a sales clerk. She met Patrick John O'Shea and they were later married on January 31, 1955 in Sacramento, CA. Estelle and Pat lived in several different locations, while Pat was serving his country in the U.S. Air Force. In 1970, they settled in Bellevue. Estelle was a wife, stay at home mom, grandmother, great grandmother, and a homemaker.
Estelle was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Ladies Guild in Bellevue, NE.
She is survived by her three daughters: Susan O'Brien of Creston, IA; Maureen Jewell of Bellevue, NE; Kelly Price and husband Jim of Plattsmouth, NE; four sons: Patrick O'Shea Jr. and wife Cathy of Plattsmouth, NE; Joe O'Shea and wife Debbie of Bellevue, NE; Michael O'Shea and wife Gayle of Bloomington, IL; Brian O'Shea of Bellevue, NE; fifteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; one great great grandson; two sisters: Joanne Wooley of Tuckahoe, NJ; Doris Davidson and husband Warren of Ocean City, NJ; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Stella Long, brother: Samuel Long, husband: Patrick O'Shea Sr., son in Law: Tim O'Brien, and two great grandchildren: Brayden Skillings, and Patrick O'Shea IV.
Visitations will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bellevue.
A Rosary will be held at 4:30 P.M., on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bellevue.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bellevue with Father Lydell Lape officiating, Michael O'Shea as lector, Michael Willis as Cantor, Nancy Buennemeyer as organist, and Malcolm Wilbur as bagpiper.
The Pallbearer will be Michael O'Shea Jr., Jerade O'Shea, P.J. O'Shea, Andrew O'Shea, Jerade O'Shea II, Ryan O'Shea, and Lea O'Brien.
Her final resting place will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Plattsmouth, NE.
The Family suggest Memorials to Alzheimer's Association - Midlands Chapter or the American Diabetes Association.
