Tribute & Message From The Family

Ruth Paulson, 87, of Omaha, Nebraska passed away on February 3, 2021 peacefully in her home. Ruth was born in Falls City, Nebraska to Roy C. Milburn and Matilda E. Milburn.

She graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School and was preceded in death by her sons, Mike Paulson (wife Dawn) and Steve Paulson, grandson Steven (Bubba) Paulson Jr., brother Donald Milburn, and sister Joan Randall.

Ruth is survived by her two daughters Kathryn Hyde and Cheryl Miller, 12 grandchildren Christie Schram, Craig (wife Jamie) & Christopher (wife Christine), Clatyon Paulson, Jocelyn & Jill Paulson, Kimberly (husband Billy) & Matthew Hyde, Sarah (husband Tom), Andrea, Kristina, & Jasmine Miller, 23 Great-Grandchildren, and 10 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Ruth was a devout Catholic her entire life, she worked at the St. James orphanage in her early years and attended mass weekly at St. James Catholic Church. Ruth had a life-long career in office management and was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi International. She enjoyed listening to records, reading, dancing with her senior clubs, and playing bingo at various Catholic churches. She loved to collect antiques, camp in the summers at Louisville State Recreation park, and gardening in her yard- she had a keen ability to see the beauty in life's simplest pleasures and loved to share it with her family. Ruth always looked forward to hosting holidays and bbq's for her family in her backyard. Though she had many hobbies and interests, her absolute greatest achievement in life was being the best Nanny "to all 46 of her grandbabies. She cherished each and every single one, and loved nothing more than spending time with them as often as she could.

We are so sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. Your Nanny was a sweet and amazing woman! She took time to make memories with each one of you that you can carry with you forever. She was so proud of all of you and loved bragging about you all. She had so many stories to tell. Her smile and laughter filled the room wherever she was. Remember that she is always with you.

Love and hugs to each and every one of you!
